This year’s honorees represent the fields of medicine, education, journalism and business: • Myron “Flint” Beal, MD, BHS’68, University Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience in the Department of Neurology and Neuroscience at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University New York Presbyterian Hospital, whose groundbreaking research has focused on the mechanisms of neuronal degeneration in neurodegenerative diseases; • Lynn Astarita Gatto, BHS’70, longtime elementary school teacher and an associate professor at the Warner School of Education of the University of Rochester who is a distinguished teacher educator and founding director of an innovative summer program serving urban students; • Tom Hamburger, BHS’70, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist, currently with the Washington Post; • Bob Lambrix, BHS’57, senior business executive whose background includes serving as chief financial officer of two Fortune 65 companies.
