The Brighton Schools Alumni Association (BSAA) was founded by Robert (Bob) Lambrix, BHS'57, and led for several years by "the two Petes": Henry "Pete" French, BHS'53, and Pete Heinrich, BHS'55, as co-presidents.
Vision and Mission Statement:
Our vision is: The BSAA will be a vital partner in promoting and preserving the tradition of excellence in the Brighton Central School District (BCSD).
The mission of the BSAA is to: • Enhance the educational experience of the BCSD. • Foster alumni relations and involvement. • Recognize the achievements and contributions of alumni to promote them as role models for students.
The BSAA works to recognize the heritage of Brighton (Rochester, NY) schools, coordinate and support reunion activities, maintain archival materials, and initiate projects that recognize individual and class accomplishments. Ongoing projects include the BSAA/Brighton High School (BHS) Alumni Hall of Fame, BSAA Scholarship, reunion support, courtyard improvements at BHS and more.
The BSAA Board
The BSAA Board implements and manages a wide variety of projects. Members are from more than a dozen BHS graduation years and include several people who attended BCSD schools but did not graduate from BHS. Photos of current board members will be updated shortly. New members are always welcome — the only qualification is to have attended a BCSD school and have a passion for contributing to the quality of education and service in the district.
